| Obverse description | The arms of the Republic of Cameroon displayed centrally on this cross-shaped flan, featuring a shield bearing scales of justice, a sword, and a star, flanked by crossed fasces and surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto in both French and English. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs prominently below the arms, with the bilingual motto PAIX / PEACE, TRAVAIL / WORK, and PATRIE / FATHERLAND distributed across the upper portion of the design. The denomination 100 FRANCS CFA appears repeated across the extending arms of the cross-shaped planchet. The inner circular legend reads REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON / REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN within the lower arc of the arms device. The antique finish lends the relief a warm, aged patina throughout the field. |

| Reverse description | A large, highly detailed bust of Martin Luther rendered in three-quarter facing portrait occupying the right portion of the cross-shaped flan, depicted with shoulder-length wavy hair and period attire with a clerical collar, after the style of Lucas Cranach the Elder's celebrated likeness. To the left of the portrait, an intricate background design evokes an illuminated manuscript or decorative scrollwork, referencing the Reformation's theological tradition. The legend MARTIN LUTHER arcs along the upper border, while the commemorative inscription 500 YEARS OF PROTESTANT REFORMATION is inscribed vertically along the left field. The date 2017 appears in the lower central exergue. |
