Reverse description The denomination 100 FRANCS is displayed in two lines at the centre of the field, with the date 1831 below, all enclosed within a large laurel and oak wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The wreath is rendered in fine detail with individual leaves clearly delineated, and the overall composition is symmetrical and austere, consistent with the official French coinage style of the July Monarchy period. A fine toothed border surrounds the entire design.
