Behind them, a Sherman tank occupies the middle ground, its gun barrel pointing left. In the upper right, the facade of Notre-Dame de Paris is rendered in fine detail, evoking the iconic Parisian backdrop of the liberation. The legend LIBERATION DE PARIS arcs along the upper rim, the denomination 100F appears at the bottom, the RF monogram and date 1994 are to the lower right, and the engraver's name ROMILLY appears in the field to the right of the tank. |
