Niger's sub-series of ancient wonder gold miniatures was produced by the Bavarian State Mint on behalf of the issuing authority — a straightforward licensing arrangement that became common among African CFA franc states seeking to tap the collector bullion market after 2010. The Hanging Gardens, notably, are the only one of the seven ancient wonders whose physical existence remains genuinely disputed by archaeologists, with some current scholarship placing them at Nineveh rather than Babylon entirely.
