Two scrolls bearing the mottoes TRAVAIL and SOLIDARITE flank the shield, with a lower scroll inscribed JUSTICE. The date 1969 appears below the shield. The denomination 100 FRANCS GUINEENS is inscribed in the lower field in large characters, with the commemorative legend 1958-1968 X-ANNIVERSAIRE arcing around the upper rim.
