Obverse description	Three giant eland (Derby eland) heads facing left in three-quarter profile, depicted in high relief with finely engraved horns rising prominently above the field, set against a background of stylized savannah grasses rendered in low relief. The curved legend REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD arcs along the upper periphery. The engraver's signature G.B.L.BAZOR appears to the right in the field, and the Monnaie de Paris mint mark is visible at the base of the design.
