Reverse description Three detailed maize (corn) cobs, each partially husked and displayed upright with their leaves splayed outward at the base, are depicted in the central field in finely engraved relief. The legend DEVELOPPONS LA PRODUCTION curves along the upper periphery, with the word ESSAI appearing in small letters at the lower field beneath the corn stalks. The design is framed by the same serrated notched border as the obverse, consistent with the overall decorative style of this essai piece.
