Reverse description A stylized tree, its branches extending broadly across the field and surmounted by a Phrygian cap symbolizing liberty, forms the central reverse design, adapted from an original drawing by Michel Durand-Mégret. A horizontal band crosses the trunk of the tree bearing the face value '100F'. The revolutionary motto 'LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ' appears distributed among the branches and field, with the date '1989' and the designer's name 'DURAND-MEGRET' inscribed in the lower portion of the reverse.
