Obverse description A draped female figure, wearing a head wrap, is depicted seated and facing slightly right, holding open a large tablet inscribed with the national motto UNITE / TRAVAIL / PROGRES. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 FRANCS is inscribed along the lower periphery.
