Obverse description Three giant eland antelopes (Taurotragus derbianus) depicted in left-facing profile, rendered in fine relief with detailed engraving of their distinctive long, spirally twisted horns and graceful heads emerging from stylized savanna grasses in the lower field. The engraver's signature G.B.L. BAZOR appears to the right, with the Monnaie de Paris privy mark visible at the bottom of the field. The circular legend REPUBLIQUE POPULAIRE DU CONGO arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering.

Reverse description The large denomination numeral 100 dominates the central field, rendered with decorative beaded and rope-work borders forming an ornate cartouche. The word FRANCS appears below the numeral and the date 1975 is inscribed beneath it. The word ESSAI is inscribed above the numeral in the upper field. The legend BANQUE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE CENTRALE arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by elaborate geometric decorative panels featuring zigzag and rope motifs arranged symmetrically around the coin's border.
