The name ERNESTO CHE GUEVARA is inscribed in bold lettering along the upper arc of the rim. To the left of the mosaic, the Spanish word LA REVOLUCIÓN is stacked vertically in the field, while to the right the English quotation BETTER TO DIE STANDING THAN TO LIVE ON YOUR KNEES is similarly arranged.
