| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of Senegal at centre, depicting a quartered shield bearing two lions passant guardant in the first and third quarters and a baobab tree in the second and fourth quarters, flanked by two palm fronds and surmounted by a five-pointed star. The shield is supported by a decorative base bearing the national motto in three parts. The legend RÉPUBLIQUE DU SÉNÉGAL arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2024 inscribed below it, and the denomination 100 FRANCS CFA appears along the lower periphery. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is dedicated to the celebrated 1933 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle as part of a 'Most Famous Gold Coins' commemorative series. The central field displays two overlapping oval vignettes joined by a flaming torch: the left vignette reproduces the obverse of the 1933 Double Eagle showing the full-length striding figure of Liberty bearing a torch and olive branch, with radiate sunburst behind and the legend LIBERTY; the right vignette reproduces the reverse design with a flying eagle above a rising sun and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, TWENTY DOLLARS, and IN GOD WE TRUST. The date 1933 appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the central composition, flanked by the fineness statement 1/500 OZ .999 FINE GOLD. The outer legend reads MOST FAMOUS GOLD COINS along the upper arc and 20 DOLLARS DOUBLE EAGLE along the lower arc, separated by a dotted border. |
