Beschrijving voorzijde The national coat of arms of Niger occupies the central field, depicting a shield flanked by crossed spears and featuring a sun motif, rendered in high relief against a polished background. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU NIGER arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 FRANCS CFA is inscribed in two lines along the lower portion of the field. The design is executed in a bold, graphic style with strong contrast between the relief elements and the coin's lustrous gold surface.

Aanvullende informatie

Niger's 100 Francs Buffalo belongs to a wave of fractional gold miniatures produced in the 2010s by African CFA franc nations whose minting operations were contracted almost entirely to the Bavarian State Mint in Munich. The coins carry the legal tender status of the issuing state but were designed exclusively for the collector market — no piece ever approached circulation.

At 0.5 grams of .9999 fine gold, the dies had to be cut with exceptional precision to render any detail at all on an 11mm flan.
