| Obverse description | The central field carries the large bold letterpress legend ASSIGNAT / de cent francs. in two lines, below which the série number and numéro are handwritten. A manuscript signature appears to the right of the série. At the top, within a rectangular cartouche, the inscription Hypothéqué sur les domaines nationaux. The four corners of the ornate engraved border are occupied by classical allegorical vignettes — figures in antique dress at the upper corners and crouching lions with emblems at the lower corners — while the left and right margins bear vertical warning texts. |
