| Obverse description | Central rectangular cartouche with rounded corners containing the Arabic legend in multiple lines, giving the name and title of Ahmad II Bey and the denomination and Hijri date. Two stylized wheat or palm fronds flank the cartouche symmetrically on either side. The entire design is framed by a decorative beaded border following the coin's scalloped outer edge. The composition is formal and heraldic in character, consistent with the engraving style of the Monnaie de Paris under Bazor. |

| Reverse description | Central raised circular medallion bearing the denomination '100 FRANCS' and the Gregorian date '1931' in three lines within the inner circle. Surrounding the central medallion is an elaborate interlaced arabesque pattern filling the annular field, reflecting Islamic decorative tradition. The legend 'TUNISIE' arcs along the upper portion of the coin outside the arabesque band, while 'ESSAI' appears at the lower portion, identifying this as a pattern strike. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded border following the scalloped coin edge. |
