Beschrijving voorzijde	A large-format vignette occupies the central and left portions of the note, with a close-up of a zebra's head in the foreground and a herd of zebras in motion across a savanna landscape to the right, rendered in fine intaglio detail. The bank title BANQUE NATIONALE DU RWANDA runs along the top in bold letterpress, flanked by the numeral 100 on either side, with the denomination CENT FRANCS and the clause payables à vue printed in the central field. The date 1.01.1978 appears at the lower left, with two facsimile signatures below the titles UN ADMINISTRATEUR and LE GOUVERNEUR, and a guilloche border runs along the bottom margin.
