Obverse description An Andean condor is depicted at center with wings fully spread, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The denomination '100 FORINT' appears in bold lettering below the bird, with the mint mark 'BP.' and the date '1983' inscribed beneath in the lower field. The engraver's initials 'BGY' appear to the right of the denomination. The circular legend 'MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Hungarian People's Republic) runs along the periphery in large capital letters.
