Reverse description Central device consists of a radiant sunburst or star medallion with concentric ring motifs at its center, bearing an Arabic calligraphic inscription. Below the central device, three lines of Arabic text appear in the field: the issuer name 'مافيا' at top, followed by the parenthetical '(چهولي چهامبا)', and the date '٢٠١٤' at the base. The square flan has slightly rounded corners consistent with the obverse.

Additional information

Mafia Island has no independent monetary authority and issues no currency — it is an administrative district of Tanzania. "Coins" attributed to it are fantasy pieces produced for the novelty collector market, with no legal tender status anywhere and no connection to any issuing government. The 2013–2014 date range and fils denomination (a unit associated with Arab Gulf states and Iraq, not Tanzania) reinforce that this is a fabricated series.
