| Obverse description | A detailed architectural rendering of the Vienna Secession exhibition hall occupies the central field, depicted in a stylized Art Nouveau engraving style with its iconic gilded dome visible above the entrance portico. A decorative laurel branch with berries appears in low relief to the left of the building. The motto inscriptions DER·ZEIT·IHRE·KUNST and DER·KUNST·IHRE·FREIHEIT are rendered on the facade of the building, while VER·SACRUM appears at lower left.
