Reverse description A richly detailed woodland scene depicting a family group of red deer in their natural habitat: a mature stag with full antlers stands centrally facing the viewer, accompanied by a doe to his right and a calf in the lower foreground. The trio is surrounded by an intricately engraved forest environment featuring deciduous trees with textured foliage, a tranquil stream or pond to the left, flowering aquatic plants, reeds, and a small frog perched among the rushes at right. A duck is visible in the lower left among the waterside flora, adding further naturalistic detail to the scene. The entire composition fills the field to the inner rim with exceptional depth and fine relief, showcasing the virtuoso engraving skill of the Austrian Mint's craftsmen. The reverse carries no inscriptions, allowing the wildlife tableau to dominate the design in its entirety.
