Obverse description The coat of arms of the Hellenic Republic occupies the central field, depicting a quartered white cross on a blue shield surrounded by a wreath of laurel branches. Flanking the shield are two leaping dolphins facing each other, rendered in high relief. A stylized marine serpent or sea creature appears in the lower left field, while decorative wave motifs fill the lower portion of the design. The legend ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ curves along the upper rim, and the denomination 100 ΕΥΡΩ is inscribed at the bottom, all within a Greek meander border.
