Part of Monnaie de Paris's ongoing "Lucky Luke" series issued under license from the Dupuis publishing estate, this coin draws on the Belgian bande dessinée character created by Morris in 1946. The series has attracted sustained collector interest in France and Belgium, where Lucky Luke remains one of the best-selling Franco-Belgian comics of all time — over 300 million albums sold across more than 30 languages.
