| Obverse description | The obverse features an abstract stylized design of interlocking wavelike and flowing linear forms rendered in low relief, evoking the Finnish landscape of lakes, rivers, and archipelago. The left portion of the field presents a textured, recessed treatment contrasting with the smooth, sinuous lines extending across the remainder of the coin. The country name appears in two languages, with 'SUOMI' arched along the upper rim and 'FINLAND' positioned along the lower rim. The engraver's initial 'P' appears discretely in the lower right portion of the field. |

Issued to mark the 200th anniversary of Finnish autonomy within the Russian Empire, established when Tsar Alexander I convened the Diet of Porvoo in March 1809 and guaranteed Finland's existing laws and Lutheran faith — a calculated political move to consolidate the recently conquered territory without triggering resistance.
