Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed architectural view of the exterior façade of the Aljafería Palace in Zaragoza, a fortified medieval Islamic palace constructed during the second half of the 11th century under the Banu Hud dynasty during the reign of Abu Jaffar Al-Muqtadir. The engraving captures the palace's distinctive Moorish towers and crenellated walls in fine relief, reflecting the artistic grandeur of the Taifa of Zaragoza at the height of its power. The inscription PALACIO DE LA ALJAFERIA appears in the upper portion of the field, identifying the monument, while 100 M EURO is inscribed at the base, denoting the denomination. The composition commemorates Aragon's rich cultural and architectural heritage, with the palace today serving as the seat of the Cortes of Aragon.
