| Reverse description | The reverse features a composition dominated by a dense, interlocking mesh of cross motifs rendered in relief against the polished field. Individual crosses are clearly defined toward the left and upper portions of the design, gradually merging into an indistinct blur toward the right and lower areas, artistically conveying the immeasurable and still partially unknown toll of First World War casualties, both military and civilian. The vertical termination of the cross pattern reinforces the commemorative message of 1918 as the year of the war's end. The inscription '1918 konec 1. svetovne vojne' is inscribed in the field, referencing the centenary of the armistice. |
