| Obverse description | At centre, the arms of Malta: a quartered shield displaying the George Cross on a white field to the dexter and vertical red and white stripes to the sinister, flanked by two olive branches tied at the base by a scroll bearing the legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA, and surmounted by a mural crown. The shield and supporters occupy the central field of a raised inner circle. Surrounding this central device, a ring of twelve five-pointed stars decorates the broad outer field. The legend MALTA arcs along the left and the date 2024 along the right, both in the upper portion of the outer field. |
