Obverse description The obverse reproduces, in high relief against a polished field, the reverse face of an original 2 Escudos cob (macuquina) struck at the Lima mint in 1715 during the reign of Philip V. The design centres on a bold Greek cross dividing the field into four quarters, each containing alternating castles and lions from the Royal Arms of Castile and León, rendered with the characteristic irregular, hand-struck appearance of colonial cob coinage. A partial beaded border and fragmentary legends from the original coin are visible around the circumference of the incuse medallion. The surrounding border of the commemorative piece carries the inscriptions ESPAÑA 2025 at the top and 2 ESCUDOS 1715 LIMA at the bottom, separated by short decorative dashes, all in raised Latin characters against a recessed, darkened rim.

Reverse description The reverse presents, in high relief, a faithful reproduction of the obverse face of the original 1715 Lima 2 Escudos cob, depicting the crowned Royal Arms of Spain with the quartered shield of Castile and León framed by an ornate cross, surrounded by the partial circular legend ET YNDIARVM REX and assay-mark letters M, M, L, N, P, V, A characteristic of the Lima mint, all rendered with the deliberately irregular, hand-hammered aesthetic of colonial macuquina coinage. The flanking crowned mint marks (M) of the Royal Mint of Madrid appear to either side of the medallion at the upper field. The legend 100 EURO arcs above the central medallion, while JOYAS DEL MUSEO CASA DE LA MONEDA curves along the lower border, all in raised Latin characters against a recessed darkened rim.
