Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse features the national coat of arms of Cape Verde centrally positioned in the upper field, depicting a torch and an open book flanked by two olive branches, all surmounted by a black star within a wreath, with the motto UNIDADE TRABALHO PROGRESSO inscribed on a banner. Below the arms, the denomination 100 is rendered in large numerals, followed by the inscription ESCUDOS CABOVERDIANOS and the date 1990 in the lower central field. The legend REPÚBLICA DE CABO VERDE runs along the left and right periphery in a vertical arrangement conforming to the coin's circumference. The fields display a polished, proof-like finish characteristic of a non-circulating commemorative issue.
