Obverse description At right, an intaglio portrait vignette of Américo Tomás set within a guilloche oval frame, with his name inscribed below. The central vignette presents a perspective view of the Ponte Salazar over the Rio Quanza (Cuanza River), rendered in fine line engraving. The bank title BANCO DE ANGOLA and denomination 100 appear at top, with two manuscript signatures below for O Governador and O Administrador.

Reverse description The central vignette occupies most of the note's face and presents an intaglio engraving of a herd of African elephants gathered at a watering hole, set against a background of dense tropical foliage with their reflections rendered in the still water below. The denomination 100 appears in the upper corners within ornate scroll cartouches, and the inscription CEM ESCUDOS is displayed in a decorative panel at the bottom centre. The printer's imprint appears at the foot of the note.
