| 备注 |
Bradbury Wilkinson produced this note for the Banco Nacional Ultramarino at a moment when the institution was managing currency across multiple Portuguese overseas territories simultaneously — Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Portuguese Guinea, São Tomé, Timor, and Portuguese India all fell under its remit. Determining which territory this particular issue was assigned to requires checking the overprint or place-of-payment text, since the BNU regularly used shared plate designs across colonies with only localized text differentiating them.
By 1921, Portuguese metropolitan currency was collapsing under postwar inflation, making colonial note stability a genuine administrative concern rather than a routine printing matter.
