| Obverse description | Richly detailed armored bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, depicted in elaborate Renaissance plate armor with intricate engraving and a ruffled collar visible at the neck. The king's bearded profile is rendered with fine portraiture, conveying regal authority. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading SIGISMVNDVS III D G POLONIAE ET SVECIAE REX, identifying the monarch as King of Poland and Sweden by the grace of God. The field is fully occupied by the large portrait, characteristic of the monumental multiple-ducat presentation pieces struck at Bydgoszcz. |
