| Reverse description | The reverse features a richly detailed color-enameled field depicting a deep blue star-filled night sky, against which the centaur archer of Sagittarius is rendered in high relief, shown in dynamic profile drawing a bow. A crystal or glass inset star element appears in the upper field above the figure, adding a decorative gemstone accent. The legend SAGITTARIUS is inscribed along the upper border in Latin capitals, while the Cyrillic equivalent СТРЕЛЕЦ appears along the lower border. The Sagittarius astrological symbol ♐ is positioned to the right of the central device. |

| Additional information |
Part of Armenia's long-running zodiac series, this issue was produced during a period when the Central Bank was aggressively expanding its collector coin program — the mid-2000s saw Armenia enter several bilateral agreements with foreign mints to produce themed commemoratives aimed squarely at the European thematic coin market. KM#174 was struck at a relatively modest mintage typical of the series, making late-found examples in original capsules the norm rather than the exception.
