Obverse description The obverse displays the national coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia centrally positioned in the field, depicting a crowned double-headed eagle bearing a shield charged with symbols of historic Armenian kingdoms, flanked by a lion and an eagle as supporters. The date 2007 appears above the coat of arms in the upper field. The legend ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ arcs along the upper periphery in Armenian script, while REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA curves along the lower periphery in Latin characters. The denomination 100 DRAM and its Armenian equivalent ԴՐԱՄ are inscribed in the lower field flanking the base of the coat of arms, all rendered against a deeply mirrored proof field.
