Obverse description The Armenian National Coat of Arms occupies the central field, depicting a spread eagle supporting a quartered shield with a crowned lion, a double-headed eagle, a lion with a cross, and Mount Ararat with Noah's Ark, all flanked by a lion and an eagle as supporters above a sword, feather, chain, and sheaf of wheat. The date 2008 appears in the upper field above the arms. The denomination 100, flanked by the legends DRAM in Latin script and ԴՐԱՄ in Armenian script, is inscribed along the lower field. The circular legend ՀԱՅԱՍՏԱՆԻ ՀԱՆՐԱՊԵՏՈՒԹՅՈՒՆ in Armenian script arcs across the upper periphery, with REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA in Latin script along the lower periphery.
