Obverse description At left, a vignette portrait of Red Cloud (1822–1909), Oglala Lakota chief, is set against an underprint incorporating the state outline and guilloche patterning. The central field includes a representation of the Smoke Signal statue in Lincoln and Chimney Rock of Morrill County, alongside a corncob motif and the Nebraska state motto "Equality Before the Law." An eagle hologram and the denomination numeral 100 appear at right, with the note's non-legal-tender status clearly inscribed.
