Opmerkingen

Casino scrip of this denomination was never intended for general use — it functioned as an internal accounting instrument, passed between the cage and table staff or used in promotional draws, rarely touching a player's hands in any meaningful transaction. The Showboat was an outlier among Atlantic City properties from its 1987 opening: a bowling alley on the premises of a licensed casino was a deliberate marketing decision aimed at the non-gambling family market, something the New Jersey Casino Control Commission had not previously accommodated.

High-denomination scrip from smaller or themed properties survives in far fewer numbers than chip equivalents, since paper was routinely pulled from circulation and destroyed on short notice.
