Obverse description The national coat of arms of Namibia occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by two rearing oryx antelopes, with a fish eagle displayed above the crest. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the national motto in three parts: UNITY, LIBERTY, and JUSTICE. The composition is enclosed within a beaded border, with the curved legend REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA flanking the left and right sides and the date 1995 appearing in the lower field beneath the arms.

Reverse description A full-color photographic depiction of the Namib Desert sand dunes fills a central circular vignette, showing sweeping ochre and terracotta dunes under a blue sky, rendered in vivid polychrome enamel. The scene is framed by a beaded border surrounding the entire coin. The curved legend 5th YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination $100 is inscribed in bold relief at the bottom of the field.
