| Beschrijving keerzijde | Highly detailed, naturalistic depiction of a koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) perched on a diagonal branch, facing left with its characteristic large tufted ears, prominent nose, and clawed forefeet rendered in high relief. Eucalyptus leaves and branches are engraved in the background field, framing the central design. The word KOALA appears in bold capital letters to the left of the animal, with the engraver's initials BS visible in the lower left field. The inscription 1 oz .9999 Au is incused along the lower exergue, confirming the coin's bullion specifications. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Perth Mint's Koala gold bullion series has run continuously since 1986, making it one of Australia's longest-lived annual bullion programs. Unlike the Nugget/Kangaroo series, the Koala design changes each year by statutory requirement, which means no two consecutive issues are identical — a deliberate policy intended to drive collector demand alongside bullion buying.
The "6th Portrait" designation refers to the Jody Clark effigy of Elizabeth II, introduced on Australian coinage in 2019 and now appearing posthumously, following her death in September 2022.
