| Obverse description | The bank name in Chinese (香港上海匯豐銀行) and English, flanked by the denomination in Arabic numerals, runs across the top of the note. The Royal coat of arms vignette occupies the left portion of the design, while the right portion incorporates a blank oval reserved for the lion's head watermark, with the denomination rendered faintly in Traditional Chinese characters as an underprint.
