| Descrizione del dritto | A gold-orange underprint extends across the entire face, over which an intaglio-engraved oval vignette at left presents a bust portrait of Thomas Hart Benton, his name inscribed beneath. The centre carries bold letterpress text stating the gold-coin redemption pledge of the Treasury of the United States, with a large ornate guilloche numeral '100' counter at right and a red Treasury seal overlapping the central text block. 'SERIES OF 1922' appears twice, and two facsimile signatures of the Register of the Treasury and the Treasurer of the United States are placed at lower centre. |
