Aanvullende informatie

Issued to mark the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, this coin was part of a wave of Pacific island gold commemoratives produced almost entirely for the collector export market — Solomon Islands had no meaningful domestic coin collector base at the time. The decision to issue gold Olympic pieces was essentially a revenue exercise, coordinated through international minting agencies rather than the Solomon Islands government acting independently.

KM#21 was struck at the Royal Australian Mint.
