背面描述 Central depiction of Snoopy, the beloved Peanuts character, portrayed in his iconic 'Flying Ace' persona, seated atop his doghouse rendered as a stylised flat platform in the central field. Snoopy wears his aviator goggles and scarf, gazing upward with outstretched arms. The inscription FLYING ACE AND THE RED BARON arcs along the left and upper periphery in bold lettering, with the name SNOOPY incused beneath the platform and the denomination $100 displayed prominently at the base of the reverse.

附加信息

Niue has long funded its government through an unusual arrangement: licensing its ISO currency code and issuing commemorative coinage under New Zealand's monetary umbrella, with virtually no domestic circulation anticipated. This Snoopy piece was produced during a wave of licensed character coins that made Niue's mint program one of the more commercially aggressive in the Pacific in the early 2000s. The Flying Ace persona dates to Charles Schulz's 1965 strips, where Snoopy first imagined himself a WWI pilot atop his doghouse — Schulz died in February 2000, making this among the earliest posthumous licensed issues.
