Beschrijving keerzijde High-relief depiction of a rabbit in full leap, captured mid-bound above a ground line of stylised grasses and foliage, with additional wheat or grass stalks rising to the left of the field. To the upper left, the Chinese character '兔' (rabbit) is displayed in an open-square cartouche style above the Latin inscription 'RABBIT' and the date '2023' in two lines. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark appears to the lower right of the central device. The composition is rendered with exceptional sculptural depth against a polished proof background, consistent with the high-relief striking technique.

Aanvullende informatie

Perth Mint's annual lunar gold proofs have run continuously since 1996, making this rabbit issue part of the second full cycle through the twelve-year calendar. The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II — sculpted by Dominique Evard and approved before her death in September 2022 — appears here posthumously, never having circulated on a struck coin during her lifetime.
