Obverse description Diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within an ornate Fabergé-style oval frame of scrolling rococo acanthus and floral motifs in high relief. The legend NIUE ISLAND arcs along the upper border and 100 DOLLARS appears vertically along the left field, with the date 2013 along the right. Below the portrait, a finely detailed egg-shaped centrepiece rests on a decorative pedestal, flanked by two crossed feather-like ornamental elements and a basket of flowers in relief. The fineness mark AU 900 appears in the lower field. The overall design emulates the decorative vocabulary of Imperial Russian Fabergé craftsmanship.
