| Obverse description | The sixth and final official effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse in high relief. The Queen is portrayed in right-facing profile, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace with drop earring, rendered with exceptional sculptural detail. The engraver's initials 'JC' appear discreetly below the truncation of the bust. The circumferential legend reads 'ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA' in the upper field, with the denomination '100 DOLLARS' and the fineness specification '1oz 9999 Au' completing the inscription along the lower arc. |
