Beschrijving voorzijde The sixth definitive effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark, is depicted in right-facing profile occupying the central field. The Queen is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace, rendered with fine detail. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 100 DOLLARS, with the engraver's initials JC appearing below the portrait. The design follows the standard Ian Rank-Broadley successor portrait adopted by the Perth Mint for Australian coinage from 2019 onward.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a finely detailed high-relief depiction of an adult koala (Phascolarctos cinereus) clinging to a eucalyptus tree trunk, its claws gripping the textured bark and its face turned outward toward the viewer. The naturalistic rendering captures the animal's dense fur, characteristic rounded ears, and prominent nose with great artistry. The arc legend AUSTRALIAN KOALA appears along the upper periphery, while the inscription 2020 1oz 9999 GOLD is placed in the lower exergual area. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is positioned to the right of the central design within the field. A plain inner border separates the design from the milled outer edge.
