Beschrijving voorzijde The sixth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, occupies the obverse field, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the regalia and facial features. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 100 DOLLARS appears in the lower field. The engraver's initials JC are present near the truncation of the bust.

Aanvullende informatie

Australia's gold koala bullion series has run continuously since 1980, but the design rotates annually — meaning no two years share the same reverse, a deliberate policy by the Perth Mint to encourage year-on-year collector demand alongside pure bullion buyers. The 2019 issue falls under the sixth effigy of Elizabeth II, the Jody Clark portrait introduced to Australian coinage in 2019, making this one of the first Perth Mint gold issues to carry it.

The .9999 fineness exceeds the older .9990 standard that defined the series through most of the 1980s and 1990s, a refinement the Perth Mint adopted to compete directly with the Royal Canadian Mint's Maple Leaf program.
