| Obverse description | High-relief effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace with drop earring, as designed by Jody Clark for the sixth definitive portrait. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper field and AUSTRALIA along the right, with the denomination 100 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower border. The engraver's initials JC appear in the lower-left field near the truncation. The portrait is rendered with exceptional sculptural depth befitting the high-relief striking technique. |

| Reverse description | High-relief depiction of a red kangaroo standing in natural bushland habitat, facing left in a alert posture with forelegs raised slightly, set against a backdrop of bare eucalyptus branches and a large stylised sun in the upper field. The animal stands on tussock grass, rendered with fine naturalistic detail accentuated by the high-relief strike. The legend AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO arcs along the upper border, while the inscription 2019 1oz 9999 GOLD appears in the lower exergue. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is visible to the lower left of the central design, and the engraver's initials AH appear at lower right. |

Perth Mint's high-relief gold proofs in this series require multiple strikes at elevated pressure to fully raise the design into the deeply recessed dies — a process that limits production runs and routinely causes die fatigue after relatively few impressions. The 2019 issue used the sixth and final effigy of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, introduced to Australian coinage in 2019, making this among the earliest Perth Mint pieces to carry that portrait.
