| 备注 |
The Central Bank of Belize was established only in 1982, replacing the Monetary Authority that had itself been created just four years earlier at independence. This series, printed by De La Rue through the early 1990s, belongs to a young institution still consolidating its role — Belize had used the Eastern Caribbean dollar before independence and the transition to a distinct national currency was relatively recent memory for anyone handling these notes at issue.
The 100-dollar denomination was the highest in the series, and De La Rue's watermark security on these notes was modest by the standards of what the same printer was producing elsewhere at the time.
