Reverse description A finely rendered effigy of a rabbit seated in profile amid a tuft of grass occupies the central field, depicted in a naturalistic style characteristic of the Perth Mint's Lunar Series I coinage. The Chinese character 兔 (Rabbit) appears in the upper right field. The year of issue 1999 is inscribed vertically along the left side of the design. The denomination and purity inscription 1 OZ 9999 GOLD are engraved along the lower portion of the field, with the Perth Mint's P100 privy mark incorporated into the design. A beaded border encircles the reverse.
